The Neighbourhoods We Work In
Carson City
From the older, established lots near the Capitol on the west side to the newer subdivisions in north Carson and the foothill homes climbing toward the Sierra, we run weekly routes across the city. The mix of mature trees and open, sun-baked backyards means skimmer baskets fill at very different rates from one street to the next.
Minden
Minden sits on the valley floor with wide-open exposure and steady afternoon wind, so evaporation runs fast and chlorine burns off quicker than owners expect. The larger lots here often mean bigger pools and more debris from surrounding pasture and ranch land.
Gardnerville
Gardnerville's older central lots carry mature landscaping that drops a steady load of leaves and pollen into the water through spring and fall, while the newer builds out toward the valley edge deal with wind-blown dust. We plan filter cleaning around that debris cycle.
Dayton
Dayton is lower in elevation and hotter than Carson City proper, so the swim season runs longer and algae pressure builds earlier in the year. The sandy soil here also means more grit finds its way to the pool, so vacuuming and basket emptying are a regular part of every visit.
Genoa
Genoa is the oldest settlement in Nevada, tucked against the Sierra with older homes, mature cottonwoods and cold-night drainage off the mountains. The tree load is heavy in fall and the canyon wind drops the water temperature fast, so shoulder-season chemistry needs watching closely.
Washoe Valley
Washoe Valley sits between Carson City and Reno with strong channelled wind off the lake and heavier tree cover along the east shore. That wind accelerates chemical loss and evaporation, and the wooded lots keep skimmers busy through the shoulder seasons.
Kingsbury
Kingsbury climbs the Sierra toward Lake Tahoe at higher elevation, where the season is short, the nights are cold and a missed winterizing visit can crack plumbing. We schedule openings and closings later up here than anywhere else on the route.
Carson Valley
The broader Carson Valley — Johnson Lane, Indian Hills, Ruhenstroth and the ranch roads between them — is open, windy and high-desert dry. Hard fill water and fast evaporation make calcium and stabilizer management the recurring job out here, more than in the city itself.
Stagecoach & Silver Springs
East of Carson City in Lyon County, Stagecoach and Silver Springs sit lower and drier, with long hot stretches and alkaline, mineral-heavy fill water. Pools out here need more frequent hardness testing and a longer pump run through the peak of summer.
If your town is not on that list, call 775-306-3454 and we will tell you straight away whether we can get there.
